Overview
Children's rights protection and healthy development are national-scale responsibilities requiring legal, social, educational, and institutional action. This article reviews the framework of rights guaranteed by the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Constitution of Ukraine, and Ukrainian child-welfare legislation.
The study examines legislative developments concerning child support, international travel by children in single-parent families, protection from abuse, domestic violence, restraining orders, and access to free secondary legal aid. It concludes that Ukraine has developed a substantial legal framework for children's welfare and rights, while effective administrative and legal mechanisms remain essential for implementing these guarantees in practice.
