Abstract
This article examines the implementation of international standards for the prevention and fight against trafficking in children, child abduction, and sexual exploitation within the national legal system of Ukraine. It analyzes the normative framework for counteracting child trafficking and kidnapping, with particular attention to Ukraine's international obligations and the incorporation of international legal norms into domestic law.
The study reviews key stages in the development of state policy, including the ratification of international conventions and protocols, criminalization of trafficking in persons, and adoption of national legislation. It also addresses challenges related to victim identification, rehabilitation, institutional support, and professional training. Ukraine has joined a wide range of relevant international instruments, but further improvement of legislation, enforcement, victim assistance, and public awareness remains necessary.
